This is a sci fi post apocalypse song very slightly inspired by the jetbike racing in Chrono Trigger. Backstory: An invention called the omega generator, a source of unlimited energy, causes all the world to go to war over who will get it. It ends in mutually assured nuclear destruction. Generations later, the modern age is surrounded in myth to the survivors. Mutants roam the landscape, and also there are jetbike gangs. Some are good, some are bad. The Omega Generator is lost, and is sort of a revered mythic item, similar to the ark of the covenant or something along those lines. The song is from the perspective of one good gang that thinks they may know where to find it.
lyrics
Whipping through the wastes, we're wild men on our way
Against the discolored sun we're riding on the wind
On this highway, we can't stop for a break
We will uncover the legend of the wastes
A relic from the past...
Limitless energy...
The Omega Generator is spoken of in song
From a time before the bombs made this world a living hell
Every rocket gang seeks the same thing we do
But if they get there first we're all doomed...
Watch out! We're coming!
Wild jet engines, wasters cringing
Rocket Highway, rockin' my way,
These bastards don't fuck around
Mount up! Ignition!
Swinging chains and taking names,
Rocket Highway, rockin' my way,
You better watch your back!
Watch out! We're coming!
Wild jet engines, wasters cringing
Rocket Highway, rockin' my way,
These bastards don't fuck around
Mount up! Ignition!
Swinging chains and taking names,
Rocket Highway, rockin' my way,
You better watch your back!
Jetbikes, don't ever give in
Ride on, my friends
To glory and to riches
We can't ever give up
While there is still hope,
I'll go on and on and on and on and on...
In the ruined future, few ride the infamous rocket highway.
The Omega Generator, a mere legend,
causes the brave and the foolish to face its horrors,
and we are among them.
For the sake of mankind, we ride on...

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse
